As always, we’ve prepared you a very broad selection of
pretty, old and rare historic pieces. Overall, 1908 lots will be
auctioned from 110 different countries. Start prices (which are
also the reserve prices) vary from 10 euro up to 15.000 euro.

Aviation pieces from around the world (Kruppa collection part II)
American Express collection (lot 333) including the extremely rare founder

With regard to of 18th century certificates, the selection is broad (64

Bond issued by the “Staeten van Vlaenderen” in 1790 to finance the

Logically, there are colour pictures of each lot. Bidding is easy: either by
live attendance, either by submitting your bids in advance through post, fax
or email (see bid form on this website).
Our Sunday bourse is promising to be as successful as our
last one which welcomed some 250 visitors from 14 countries and
had 135 meters of scripophily tables. It proved to be the
biggest scripophily bourse in Europe, probably the world. People
who would like to book a table, are recommended to do so
swiftly.
Finally, I’d like to invite you to our Sunday Morning IBSS breakfast
(free for IBSS members, others pay €20 and receive a free year of IBSS

About the Event
The Chicago Paper Money Expo is one of the most popular
conventions in the United States serving the interests of
collectors and dealers of rare paper money and collectable
stocks and bonds. It features two separate major auctions of
paper money and stock and bond rarities. The CPMX rare
currency auction is cataloged and conducted by Lyn F. Knight
Auctions of Overland Park, Kansas. The CPMX stock and bond
auction is presented by Scott Winslow and Associates of
Bedford, New Hampshire. Each firm is a recognized leader in
their respective collecting specialty areas. The CPMX also
features a world class bourse with participation by a full
array of dealers specializing in various aspects of
collectible paper money, stocks, bonds and related ephemera.

The Strasburg Stock, Bond and Currency Show,
now in its 16th year, is acclaimed as the most important event of the
year for collectors and dealers of stocks, bonds, financial documents
and related ephemera.

Scripophily.com will have a large
display of Modern Stocks which is one have the fastest growing areas
of the hobby. Included in this area are certificates from the current
Scandals including such companies as Enron, Worldcom, Adelphia,
ImClone, Martha Stewart, Rite Aid, Tyco International, DrKoop,
Egghead, and XO Communications. You will also be able to see our
collection of older certificates starting from the early 1800's.

The Historic Strasburg Inn is located just off
Route 896, south of its intersection with Route 30, to the southeast
of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. For specific driving directions from your

SHOW DIRECTIONS: From the Capital Beltway (I-495) Exit to I-395

SHOW DEALERS: There will be over 20 dealers, including, from all over
the USA as well as Germany. Some are coming from as far away as St. Louis
MO, California, Michigan, New Hampshire, NJ, DE, and PA.
SHOW ITEMS: The show will have over 40 tables showing
thousands of different stock certificates and bonds as well as some
POSTCARDS, western memorabilia, civil war items, political items, paper
money, Americana, and miscellaneous ephemera. There will be Antique stocks
of hundreds of different RAILROADS, such as the B&O, CMSP&P, B&M, D&H,
SUSSEX RR, PRR, N&W, UNION PACIFIC, SP, WM, GN, AT&SF, SP, C&NW, DRG&W,
ERIE, GREEN BAY AND WESTERN, KCS, and many others from 1840 to the present.
There will be automotive stock certificates of FORD, GENERAL MOTORS, AMC,
CHRYSLER, as well as many older more obscure collectibles like STAR MOTORS,
DURANT, FRANKLIN, KAISER FRAZER. Sporting certificates will be available
such as COLT FIREARMS, WINCHESTER, REMINGTON, Baltimore Orioles, etc. Many
Aviation and airline stocks will be available – Eastern Airlines, TWA, Pan
AM, North Central , UAL etc. Mining and oil stocks (some dating back to the
1860s in PA). Modern certificate examples will include WORLD COM, ADELPHIA,
ENRON, E-TOYS, COCA COLA, Harley Davidson, Mattel, IBM, AT&T, LIONEL and
MORE. The variety of interesting historical items to see alone is worth
the two dollar admission.
